Serves as a Freedom of Information Act Manager. Provides guidance, assistance, and training to MAJCOM headquarters staff to ensure compliance with DoD/DAF program requirements.
Serves as a Privacy Act and Civil Liberties POC and Program Manager.
Provides written and oral communication in various forms and forums. Prepares required correspondence and documentation.
Serves as Pertinent Oversight Authority for Inspector General Continual Evaluation Program.

This is a Term/Temp position Not to Exceed 2yrs; the individual selected for this position may be extended or lead to a permanent position without further competition. Current Federal civilian employees may apply, and if selected, a break in service of at least 3 calendar days may be required prior to appointment to this position.
In order to qualify, you must meet the Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions,
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience to serve as the organizations subject matter expert for Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, and Civil Liberties programs. Provides authoritative guidance, analyzes complex legal and regulatory requirements, manages compliance reviews and information requests, resolves program issues, and provides accurate and timely communications ensuing legal program compliance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
of Information Act, Privacy Act, Civil Liberties, and Information Quality applicable federal and public laws, executive orders/DoD directives, applicable FOIA/Privacy Act court decisions and precedents pertaining to access laws, Defense Privacy Act Board Advisory Opinions, Information Security, and the National Archives and Records Administration guidelines and policies governing life-cycle management of official records. Demonstrated FOIA, Privacy Act, and Civil Liberties expertise is required to provide advice,guidance, and authoritative consultant services to team members, supervisors, organization leaders, and customers.
Ability to research, analyze, and apply a variety of complex regulations and other statutory/PL requirements, such as Executive Orders 13526, Classified National Security Information; 5 USC §552 Freedom of Information Act; 5 USC §552a, Privacy Act of 1974, as amended; Public Laws 105-261, Strom Thurmond National Defense Act; PL 106-65, National Defense Authorization Act; 42 USC §2011-2021, 2022-2286i, and Atomic Energy Act of 1954.

recommendations regarding classified records review and declassification process.
