This is a full-time, exempt position.

This position within FOB Trucking is to work closely with ADM Origination, ADM Processing in Velva ND, Enderlin ND, & Red Wing MN, ADM Fertilizer, Edible Bean & Pea Protein specialty groups, Animal Nutrition, ADM Milling, and other ADM FOB Trucking teams to maximize company trading opportunities. There is a strong emphasis on communication and teamwork in this position to provide cost-competitive, reliable freight for the placement of ADM and third-party products in the marketplace.

Description of work performed:

  • Manage truck freight for our ADM Fertilizer division; including outbound fertilizer deliveries to customers and inventory management for our terminals.
  • Plan and execute shipments in accordance with agricultural commodities loading requirements and state specific weight regulations.
  • Tender freight to both private fleet and third-party carriers, evaluating performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other ADM divisions, external customers and truck carriers to ensure contract execution.
  • Discover and enhance market opportunities.  Increase the number of origination and destination markets while utilizing trucks to expand the draw territories for the upper Midwest FOB Trucking territory.
  • Understand and analyze current freight rates, freight lanes and product flows for both the US and Canada trade areas.
  • Communicate market information both within the office and throughout the company as market opportunities present themselves.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • University Degree in Agriculture or related field of study
  • 3+ years of experience in commodity trading, fertilizer or logistics
  • Computer competence, especially use of email, Microsoft Office (Access, Teams, Excel, Word, & PP), PC Miler, IBM, Customs Brokers and internal web based applications
  • Demonstrated capacity to excel in a fast paced environment
  • This position requires working at a desk both on a telephone and at a computer for prolonged periods of time
  • Some overnight travel required with this position

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$70,400.00 - $131,200.00The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus
