Role Overview & Pivot Clarification
The FSS Capital Reporting and Analytics group is adjusting its candidate profile. Previous submissions were too heavily weighted toward pure data/technical analysis. The hiring manager is explicitly seeking a Finance or Accounting-focused Business Analyst.
The ideal candidate must have recent experience embedded in finance/accounting workflows, a strong business background, and hands-on experience translating those financial concepts into formal business requirements, backed by strong SQL expertise.
Core Candidate Qualifications
Domain Focus: Strong finance/accounting background. A formal degree in Finance or Accounting is highly preferred. Recent contract or full-time work must be finance/accounting-centric.
Core BA Skillset: Proven, hands-on experience supporting projects from a business perspective and creating formal business requirements (BRDs, functional specs).
Technical Core: Strong SQL expertise is required for data validation and profiling within these financial systems.
Client Experience: Shifted from required to Highly Preferred.
Regulatory Knowledge: Experience with ERCF (Enterprise Regulatory Capital Framework) or Capital Requirements is no longer mandatory but remains a Strong Plus.
