    NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National Park Service (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

    Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

    PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

    Duration

    This position is funded for up to 486 total hours and is open until filled or canceled.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience OR BA/BS Degree with minimum additional experience of 15 year(s) in federal project management

    • Project management, historical architecture, experience with Secretary of Interior?s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
    • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat
    Duties:

    Enrollee will provide technical, analytical, and administrative support to the park?s Facility Management and Asset Management programs. The position will assist National Park Service staff with Facility Management Software System (FMSS) data management, asset documentation, condition assessment coordination, project tracking, reporting, and quality assurance activities. The Experienced Worker serves in an advisory and support capacity only. Final programmatic, budgetary, contracting, compliance, and operational decisions remain the responsibility of National Park Service employees.

    • Provides technical and administrative support for FMSS and Park Asset Management Plan (PAMP) activities within the park.   20%
    • ?? Assists park staff with maintaining accurate asset inventory records, including associated equipment, features, condition information, life-cycle data, and maintenance work orders.   20%
    • Supports park staff in coordinating annual and comprehensive facility condition assessments, life-cycle assessments, and related FMSS documentation activities.   20%
    • Assists with compiling, organizing, validating, and updating FMSS data to improve reporting accuracy and consistency.   10%
    • Provides support in reviewing asset information, work orders, and project data for completeness and alignment with established FMSS business practices and National Park Service guidance   10%
    • Assists park staff with development, tracking, and documentation of FMSS work orders and PMIS project information for maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, cyclic maintenance, recreation fee, housing, transportation, and environmental management projects   10%
    • Compiles and prepares reports from FMSS databases for operational, planning, and asset management purposes.   10%

    Other:
    • Overnight travel: ?1-3 overnight trips may be required?
    • Air travel anticipated: ?1-3 air travel trips, depending on the location of the individual selected?
    • Health and Safety Considerations: Training will be provided on site by Park Safety Officer
    • Required Safety Gear: PPE such as hardhats and construction yellow vests, possibly radio will be provided for site visits
    • Physical requirements: Work is generally performed in an office setting, with occasional field work visits.
