Position Overview
The Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist will serve as the technical and commercial bridge between customers and our engineering/manufacturing teams. You will identify customer needs, specify the correct product configuration, support integration discussions, and drive new business opportunities across the mobile, industrial, and off highway marketplaces.


Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent technical experience)
  • 3 – 5 years in technical sales, application engineering, or hydraulics and electrification
  • Basic fluid power knowledge, including pump sizing fundamentals (flow, pressure, displacement, and power calculations) 
  • Basic electrical knowledge, including electric motor control and familiarity with CANbus or other vehicle communication protocols 
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics and electrical wiring diagrams 
  • Strong communication skills - comfortable explaining technical concepts to customers by phone, email, and in person 
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (~10-20%) for customer visits and field support
Preferred Skills
  • Office 365
  • Internship or professional experience in fluid power, mobile equipment, or automotive industries
  • Familiarity with J1919 CAN bus
  • Exposure to steering systems, hydraulic power units, or electro-hydraulic actuation
  • CFPHS Certification or interest in pursuing International Fluid Power Specialist Certification
 Responsibilities
·        Act as the technical point of contact for customers integrating electro-hydraulic systems into their end application
·        Perform pump sizing and system level calculations (flow, pressure, pump displacement) to select products that meet customer requirements
·        Support electrical integration including troubleshooting CAN bus communication with the end customer
·        Troubleshoot field and test bench issues with customers
·        Generate application documentation including sizing guides, integration instructions, and frequently asked questions
·        Support development of products to meet unique customer requirements, including prototype development and validation
·        Relay customer feedback into actionable requirements to drive product improvements
·        Assist the sales team with technical presentations, trade show attendance, and product quoting.
