Florida Market Medical Director

Location: Candidates must reside in Florida to support the operational and clinical responsibilities of the position.
Schedule: Full-time, 100% Remote

Description:
Impresiv Health is seeking a Market Medical Director to partner with the Market President in leading the market team and overseeing clinical operations. This leader will manage and develop Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants while also providing direct care to a small panel of high-risk patients.

Care may be delivered in patient homes, community centers, dialysis facilities, and hospitals. The Market Medical Director will support timely patient access, accurate clinical documentation, clinician development, evidence-based care, and population health management with a focus on improving outcomes and reducing unnecessary medical utilization.

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate with the Market President to deliver results on KPIs and overall P&L outcomes
• Coach and develop advanced practice providers based on KPI performance
• Manage the highest-need and highest-risk patients in short intervals to stabilize them, then transition patients to APP panels as appropriate
• Lead health plan and network provider partnership discussions
• Manage partner relationships to support key business results, including growth targets, partner engagement, and clinical and financial outcomes
• Support board material content and creation
• Provide direct patient care to a small panel of high-risk patients
• Lead and develop Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants within the market
• Support ongoing education and evaluation of APP competencies
• Help ensure timely patient access and thorough, accurate clinical documentation
• Promote problem-solving approaches designed to prevent unnecessary medical utilization
• Other duties as assigned

You Will Be Successful If:

• You are comfortable working in an environment with ambiguity
• You are experienced in coaching and developing clinicians
• You can use KPIs and data to improve cost, quality, and clinical outcomes
• You are comfortable balancing clinical leadership responsibilities with direct patient care

What You Will Bring:

• Must reside in Florida
• M.D. or D.O. graduate
• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
• Fellowship training in Geriatrics or other professional degrees such as MPH, MBA, or JD are welcome but not required
• 5 to 15 years of experience in outpatient or home-based practices
• Extensive experience in clinical leadership roles coaching and developing NPs, PAs, or MDs
• Experience utilizing KPIs and data to drive improved cost, quality, and clinical outcomes for patients

Preferred Experience:

• Value-based care experience
• Experience in a start-up environment
