    Description

    SUMMARY: 

    Responsible for supervision of the operation of assigned table games or pit areas as assigned by a supervisor, to ensure game integrity, guest satisfaction, and compliance with policies and procedures.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    • Supervises the operation of a specified amount of table games on assigned shift.
    • Maintains the highest quality standards in all areas of guest service, hospitality and player development.
    • Ensures all games move at an appropriate pace.  Maintains appropriate game spreads, limits and staffing.
    • Informs casino Shift Managers of all noteworthy, suspicious, or unusual activity.  Facilitate the flow of information throughout the casino.
    • Assists in training and evaluation of subordinate employees in a fair and equitable manner.
    • Understands pit accounting procedures and administrative tasks, i.e., fills, credits, marker transactions and responsibilities.  Monitors same for subordinate employee as necessary.
    • Maintains current knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as internal controls, policies and procedures.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    Directly supervises all floor people, as assigned by supervisor.  Indirectly supervises all dealers.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    High school diploma with two to five years casino operations experience required.  Minimum of four years in Table Games Department preferred.

    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must possess effective communication and organizational skills.  Strong interpersonal skills required.

    This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.  Ability to write effective reports and memos.  Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests.  Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs.  

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
