    Summary of Duties

    Responsible for cleaning, buffing and refinishing floors, cleaning carpets, and performing other housekeeping duties as assigned.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc.
    • Clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
    • Buff floors using floor machine and appropriate pad and finish as needed.
    • Refinish floors using proper stripping or scrubbing method as needed or assigned.
    • Pick up accumulated trash and place in designated areas for storage and/or removal.
    • Clean exit/entrance door areas, to include removing trash and cigarette butts, cleaning glass with cleaner, sweeping mats, etc.
    • Clean equipment daily.
    • Notify supervisor when repairs to equipment are needed.
    • Scrub and clean shower room daily.
    • Clean assigned areas, pull trash, sweep, and spot mop floors.
    • Remove biohazard containers and properly dispose of them daily.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    • Comply with policies and procedures.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

    Education and Experience

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No experience required. On-the-job training provided.

    Physical Requirements for Essential Job Functions

    • Must be able to move about consistently throughout the workday.
    • Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently throughout the work day.
    • Must possess the ability to walk, stand, push, pull, bend, lift, and grasp, and fine hand coordination.
    • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
    • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance.
    • Must be able to push, pull, or move up to 100 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance.
    • Must be able to walk/stand 75% of the day.
    • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
