What You'll Do
As a Floor Technician, you'll play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and team members.
Responsibilities include:
- Strip, wax, buff, polish, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
- Perform routine floor care in resident rooms, hallways, offices, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Move and replace furniture as needed to complete floor care and cleaning assignments.
- Clean spills and soiled areas promptly to help maintain a safe environment.
- Follow established floor care and cleaning schedules while minimizing disruption to residents.
- Maintain floor care equipment, cleaning supplies, and storage areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Properly use and store cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies according to safety guidelines.
- Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures while completing daily assignments.
- Identify and promptly report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, or maintenance concerns.
- Respect residents' personal belongings, privacy, dignity, and rights while working throughout the facility.
- Assist the Housekeeping team with additional cleaning or facility needs as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Previous floor care, housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred
- Experience with stripping, waxing, and buffing floors strongly preferred
- Ability to safely operate commercial floor care equipment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Positive and professional attitude
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position
