This role involves using specialized equipment and chemicals in accordance with hospital safety and sanitation standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSweep, mop, and maintain hard floor surfacesStrip, buff, and wax floors using appropriate machines and productsClean or shampoo carpets as neededPerform light cleaning of walls, baseboards, and windowsMaintain cleaning equipment and report repairs as necessaryFollow all safety procedures and infection control protocolsComplete assigned tasks in a timely, professional mannerDispose of trash and hazardous materials properlySupport Environmental Services team with additional cleaning as neededAttend training and follow all hospital and department policiesMaintain confidentiality of patients, staff, and operationsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED (Preferred)1+ year of floor tech or janitorial experience (Preferred)Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, floor care machines, and safety guidelinesAbility to lift 25–50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasksDependable with a strong work ethic and attention to detailProfessional, team-oriented, and able to work independentlyFlexible schedule and reliable transportation requiredPhysical RequirementsThis job requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
