Floor & Project Technician (Housekeeping 2nd Shift

UPMC Passavant-McCandless, an ANCC Magnet designated hospital, is hiring a Full‑Time Floor & Project Technician to support our Housekeeping team. This is a great opportunity for candidates who want dependable work, a supportive environment, and room to grow. Title and pay are based on your experience and education.

Schedule: 2nd shift 2pm-11pm

What You'll Do:

• Handle emergency cleanups with proper sanitizing procedures
• Shampoo and extract carpets in assigned areas
• Maintain floors by removing soil, wax, and sealers
• Inspect your assigned areas and report any issues to your supervisor
• Use and care for equipment safely and responsibly
• Follow safety and sanitation standards to keep our patients, visitors, and staff safe
• Work within hospital policies and support system‑wide behaviors
• Perform other duties as needed to support the team

• HS Diploma/GED OR

• 1 YR previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED OR

• successful completion of the 5-week EVS training program

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties.

• Ability to use all housekeeping equipment.

• May in the course of duties be in rooms where medications are stored.

• No contact with medications is allowed.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Act 34
