Floor Care Specialist Janitor

Under the supervision of the GSA Project Manager, Site Supervisor, or Lead Floor Technician, the Floor Care Specialist is responsible for performing specialized cleaning and maintenance of various floor surfaces in accordance with federal contract standards and ARS quality-assurance protocols. This includes floor stripping, waxing, sealing, buffing, and carpet extraction, as well as safe operation of powered equipment in compliance with OSHA, CARF, and NISH safety standards.

Qualification: 

· High School Diploma or GED preferred.

· Minimum 1 year of floor-care or custodial experience preferred.

· Knowledge of various floor finishes, sealants, and maintenance methods.

· Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.

· Ability to lift and move equipment or materials up to 50 lbs.

· Must adhere to safety regulations and demonstrate attention to detail.

· Must be able to pass a rigorous federal background check administered by the FBI.
