Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, with an emphasis on surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention. The Security Officer will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and responding effectively to any incidents.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential security risks or hazards.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, providing detailed reports on incidents.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
- Manage conflicts effectively, using de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Experience
Candidates should possess relevant experience in security or law enforcement roles. Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous experience as a Security Officer of at least 2 years.
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques.
- Background in military service or law enforcement is advantageous.
