The Northeast Health District WIC Program is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Float Nutritionist to provide onsite clinic coverage for WIC programs throughout the Northeast Health District. Under general supervision, this position plans and conducts nutrition services to promote family health and support healthy weight management. Responsibilities include providing nutrition education, nutritional assessments, breastfeeding education and counseling, and individualized nutrition services in accordance with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program policies and procedures. This position serves as a resource for referrals to family planning, immunization, and other Health Department and community programs and services while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to improve the health and well-being of women, infants, and children. The Float Nutritionist will travel throughout the district to provide coverage at multiple health department locations as needed.
Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Travel: Frequent travel throughout the Northeast Health District is required to provide onsite clinic coverage. Applicants must reside in Georgia or relocate prior to employment and be able to travel to assigned clinic sites.

The use of wellness breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and assist employees in meeting their wellness goals. A maximum of 30 minutes in a given workday may be used to engage in wellness activities, generally in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.

DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE). DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
