Duties
- Dependent on the site you are working, you may need to monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity and identify potential security threats.
- Conduct regular vehicle or foot patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing appropriate action including contacting emergency services when necessary.
- Manage access control by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when appropriate.
- Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations until professional medical help arrives.
- Document all incidents accurately through detailed reports and logs for future review and compliance purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Valid certifications in first aid, CPR, and conflict management are preferred; ongoing training is encouraged.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and security protocols is essential.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential risks quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and emergency responders.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks during high-stress situations.
