Xcel Energy supports a hybrid work model to enable collaboration and flexibility. Many roles are expected to work onsite three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday); however, work location expectations vary based on role, team, and business needs.

Position Summary

Manage all processes, procedures, and cost recovery related to the warranty and recall of fleet assets. Oversee all aspects of warranty submittal, tracking, and recovery. Serve as the liaison between the manufacturer/parts supplier and Fleet Operations to ensure warranty claims are handled and processed efficiently and effectively.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee all processes, procedures, and documentation requirements for fleet warranties, equipment failures, recalls, and service bulletins for Xcel Energy's Fleet department. Act as the single point of contact for all warranties and equipment failure-related issues. Ensure utilization of the capital improvement processes when applicable. Direct and provide administrative support to Fleet when filing claims. Improve practices and procedures for vendor recovery process to maximize the financial benefit for XE. Analyze data to drive insights and maximize claim margins.

  • Manage filing of all warranty/recall claims recovery for fleet assets on behalf of XE. Manage claims requests. Ensure required information is documented and submitted in accordance with claim requirements. Monitor claim timelines and ensure critical deadlines are met for submittals. Develop metrics and report out on these metrics to provide visibility on claims. Partner with accounting to track claim status and update impending payments.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for warranty and recall procedures/claims inquiries. Attend warranty-related training supplied by vendors. Update Fleet Operations and Asset Management teams on the latest warranty and recall documentation/requirements.

  • Develop vendor warranty/recall KPIs, provide warranty terms and conditions expertise, and analyze warranty/recall data to ensure compliance in collaboration with the Asset Management and Sourcing teams.

  • Develop strong relationships with vendors, Fleet Operations, Asset Management, Fleet Leadership, and other XE stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Sourcing and Purchasing, IT).

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Automotive Technology, or related field.

  • Five to seven years of experience in fleet program management with a focus in recall/warranty management, procurement, asset management, or similar experience.

  • Previous experience at a dealership with warranty experience or within the utilities sector preferred.

  • Experience working with light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles with complex utility upfitting preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Fleet management tools preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills required.

  • Strong change management and process improvement skills.

  • Leadership skills as well as excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills necessary.

  • Required to attend meetings in various locations, up to 20% travel; driver's license required.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $73,700.00 to $104,633.33 per year
