Fleet Support Engineer - HMI Systems

Introduction

The Fleet Support Engineer on the Vehicle Development team will be actively engaged in the operational uptime of our fleet, with a specific focus on Human Machine Interface (HMI) and passenger experience systems. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, meticulously documenting troubleshooting processes, and providing real-time support for daily operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in automotive, consumer electronics, or autonomous vehicles, with a focus on infotainment, display technologies, or cockpit electronics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience troubleshooting LVDS, Ethernet, CAN, and LIN communication protocols.
• Familiarity with display technologies (LCD/OLED), touch controllers, and audio amplifiers.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Android Automotive or Linux-based infotainment systems.
• Experience with remotely supporting vehicle troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems and Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for real-time escalations regarding HMI systems.
• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis through comprehensive log review and electrical diagnosis.
• Lead the sustaining engineering effort for HMI systems by conducting historical reviews of fleet data.
