We Are Seeking

Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Fleet Superintendent. The Fleet Superintendent reports to the Fleet Manager. The primary job duties of this position include:

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities for the Fleet Supervisors, including hiring, training and development, mentoring, scheduling, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and technical assistance.
  • Participate in the divisions strategic planning process and play a major role in other large-scale financial, operational, and administrative issues.
  • Reinforce workplace culture: inclusive, respectful, and collaborative, which supports a sense of purpose (departmental mission) and belonging for the staff and community.
  • Establish a collaborative system that fosters cross-functional cooperation among multiple fleet sites and focuses on implementing programs to address identified needs and timelines.
  • Research, recommend, implement, and evaluate goals, pilots, projects, and programs.

About You

  • Bachelors Degree in Fleet Management, Business, or related field; and

  • 3 Years of experience in Public Works management as a supervisor or manager in a fleet operations environment; and

  • 5 Years of experience in Fleet maintenance; or

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Licensing/Certifications

  • Valid Arizona Drivers License.
  • ASEs are highly desirable.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt - ineligible for overtime compensation.
