Fleet Operations Assistant

Overview: As a Fleet Assistant your duties will include performing oil changes, inspections, outfitting, cleaning, and troubleshooting fleet vehicles and assisting with basic vehicle maintenance, detailing, and general labor. Drive and manage fleet vehicles, including towing and loading/unloading.

As a Fleet Assistant your duties will include performing oil changes, inspections, outfitting, cleaning, and troubleshooting fleet vehicles and assisting with basic vehicle maintenance, detailing, and general labor.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and inspections.
• Outfitting and cleaning of fleet vehicles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
• Drive and manage fleet vehicles, including towing and loading/unloading.
• Respond to callouts and be on-call every other weekend.

• Perform basic mechanical tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and replacing worn parts

• Assist mechanics with repairs, tool setup, and clean-up

• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment

• Load, unload, and move equipment and supplies as needed

• Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment for maintenance or repair needs

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a shop or mechanical setting required.

• Basic mechanical knowledge (e.g., ability to change tires, check fluids, assist with repairs)

• Strong attention to detail, especially when detailing vehicles

• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team

• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs. and perform manual labor for extended periods

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
