To keep our fleet performing at its best, we're looking for a skilled and reliable Fleet Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Kansas City, MO.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and helping ensure a fleet stays safe, efficient, and ready for service.

What You'll Do as a Fleet Mechanic:

Vehicle Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and performance-related issues.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance standards are met.
• Repair and replace components including brakes, steering systems, suspension components, batteries, and other critical vehicle systems.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle concerns.
• Help reduce vehicle downtime through proactive maintenance and timely repairs.

Fleet Safety & Reliability

• Ensure vehicles remain safe, dependable, and ready for daily operations.
• Identify potential maintenance concerns before they become major repairs.
• Perform testing and verification of repairs to ensure vehicles meet operational standards.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to prioritize repairs and maintain fleet availability.
• Support company safety initiatives by maintaining vehicles to the highest standards.

Shop Operations & Documentation

• Maintain accurate repair orders, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
• Document completed repairs and recommended services.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Assist with monitoring parts inventory and reporting supply needs.
• Collaborate with fellow technicians and leadership to meet maintenance goals and schedules.

What We're Looking for as a Fleet Mechanic:

• Previous experience as a Fleet Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Maintenance Technician, Diesel Technician, or Service Technician preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance procedures, and repair techniques.
• Ability to identify mechanical and electrical issues and determine effective repair solutions.
• Experience working on fleet vehicles is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-focused.
• Valid driver's license required.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
