FLEET MECHANIC / DIESEL & TRAILER TECHNICIAN

JOIN FLEET EQUIPMENT

Fleet Equipment is expanding in Charlotte, NC, and we are looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic / Diesel & Trailer Technician to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to help build a new operation while working on commercial trailers and fleet equipment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, lighting, air, and trailer systems.
• Repair or replace brakes, hubs, bearings, suspension, landing gear, doors, lights, wiring, and other components.
• Perform welding/fabrication when qualified.
• Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
• Communicate equipment conditions and repair needs to the Service Manager.
• Complete work safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
• Assist with priority repairs and maintain a clean, organized work area.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience as a Fleet Mechanic, Trailer Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Heavy-Duty Technician, Truck Technician, or similar role.
• Commercial trailer or heavy-duty equipment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, brake, and suspension systems.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
• ASE, TIA, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Military mechanics and heavy equipment technicians are encouraged to apply.
