Job Description:

Become a Fleet Manager with GardaWorld

As a Fleet Manager, you play a critical role in keeping GardaWorld’s operations running smoothly and efficiently. By ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, compliant, and cost‑effective, you directly support field teams in delivering reliable service to customers. Your ability to manage vendor relationships, optimize fleet performance, and proactively solve issues helps reduce downtime, control expenses, and maintain safety standards across the organization. This role is essential to operational success, enabling teams to stay mobile, productive, and responsive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work Site Location: St. Louis, MO

  • Set Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. To 5:00 p.m. This position may require working long hours and on weekends.

Job Duties include:

  • Manage fleet inventory, vehicle assignments, and database accuracy across branches
  • Track maintenance, repairs, and costs to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Oversee fuel card program, including issuance, usage monitoring, and fraud prevention
  • Maintain detailed vehicle records (VIN, registration, driver assignment, GPS, tolls, etc.)
  • Monitor telematics alerts (speed, usage, geofencing) and escalate as needed
  • Support fleet-related Accounts Payable activities
  • Coordinate vehicle claims, repairs, rentals, and vendor services
  • Issue driver packets (fuel cards, insurance, incident kits)
  • Partner with branch teams to support maintenance, replacements, and day-to-day fleet needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors

Requirements:
  • Detail oriented with focus on accuracy
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, pivot table/ V- Lookups preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fleet experience preferred
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic fast paced ever changing environment with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work independently, have a proactive approach to problem resolution, critical thinking, and problem solving in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Must be proficient at multitasking
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and manage reports
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through
  • Excellent telephone skills required
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills required
