Job Description:

JET FREIGHT Services is a growing, asset-based trucking company based in the Chicago area. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone with trucking experience who is organized, proactive, and knowledgeable about truck and trailer equipment, with the ability to make sound decisions and help ensure our fleet remains safe, well-maintained, and road-ready.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage daily fleet operations to ensure equipment availability and operational efficiency
Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, DOT inspections, breakdowns
Manage and monitor parts inventory and support fuel-efficiency initiatives
Conduct regular equipment inspections and monitor overall truck and trailer condition
Perform post-repair inspections and road tests to ensure repairs are completed properly
Coordinate, assign, and oversee the daily tasks of the on-site mechanic
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Valid CDL Class A license is highly preferred
Minimum of 1 year of Fleet Management experience
Strong knowledge of semi-truck and trailer systems, including maintenance and repair requirements
Bilingual in English and Ukrainian
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple maintenance and operational needs in a fast-paced environment
