Position Overview:

As a Fleet Maintenance "B" Technician you will be responsible for the ensuring the continued functionality and longevity of the tractors, trailers etc. within the Fleet Maintenance Department. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to performing routine and moderately complex maintenance and repairs. You will be responsible for ensuring all repairs are documented and aligned with OSHA - state and federal policies as well as company policies to drive a safe working environment and culture.

Environment:

Work environment will vary with temperaturePrimarily in a shop environment with occasional outdoor work

Schedule:

Tuesday- Saturday2:00pm- 10:30pm

Compenstation:

$30 - $35$3.00 shift differential

Experience:

Preferred: Three (3) - Five (5) years technical experience or related field- Automotive or Industrial EquipmentPreferred: Federal Annual Inspection Certificate 40 CFR pt.396.19 & Brake Inspection Certificate 49 CFR pt. 396.25Required: 608 Technician Certification & 609 Technician CertificationOwn and Maintain up to date tools of the tradePreferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership

Skills:

Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; the ability to operate required material handling equipment - getting on and off equipment throughout shiftStrong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basisOrganizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesWorking in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest qualityQuality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectivesSafety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
