Fleet Maintenance Supervisor - Heavy Duty Truck Fleet

We're looking for an experienced heavy-duty diesel mechanic/leader who is ready to step into a leadership role and help us build a shop that keeps our growing fleet safe, reliable and moving. You'll work directly with the CEO, lead our mechanics, oversee preventive maintenance and repairs, manage parts and workflow, and help improve the systems that keep our trucks on the road.

You're not just taking over a shop. You're taking ownership of how our fleet gets maintained.

Role Summary:

Rose Cartage Service is a 50-year-old, family-owned trucking company in Griffith, IN. We're looking for an experienced heavy-duty diesel mechanic/leader who is ready to step into a leadership role and help us build a shop that keeps our growing fleet safe, reliable and moving.

You'll work directly with the CEO, lead our mechanics, oversee preventive maintenance and repairs, manage parts and workflow, and help improve the systems that keep our trucks on the road.

Primary duties of the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor:

• Providing solid leadership to and oversight of our team of mechanics
• Overseeing the process of servicing truck breakdowns in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Managing and ensuring an accurate and sufficient inventory of repair parts on budget
• Maintaining a PM Schedule that maximizes truck uptime
• Managing the work order process for accuracy and effectiveness

Requirements for the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor:

• Demonstrated success in planning and scheduling maintenance and repairs
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail
• Mechanical aptitude and proficient with computers
• Sound judgment and Decision Making capabilities
• Knowledgeable of applicable DOT regulations
• Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid CDL preferred
