Job Description:
Job Summary: As a Diesel Technician II, you'll perform basic to mid-range diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and most repairs and replacements.
Troubleshoots / repairs electrical systems, engine operations, trans / differential operations, air conditioning operation, cooling systems, exhaust systems, fuel systems, and basic diagnostics
Performs state inspections
Performs Diesel Tech I duties

Qualifications & Key Requirements:
Work Experience:
of experience as a mechanic -
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
A high skilled level of welding (preferred) -
Strong working knowledge of all safety requirements for shop equipment and machinery, including electrical devices -
Familiarity with 2010 and newer emissions -
Computer skills -
Ability to perform intermediate repairs -
Ability to read schematic diagrams -
Ability to diagnose / repair electrical shorts, air brake systems, cooling systems, and some engine problems -
Education:
or equivalent -
Licenses/Certifications:
Current Texas CDL -
DOT certified -
Air conditioning certified -
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
Work in a team environment
Lift 100 lbs and carry a distance of 5 ft
Work sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and in a prone position
Work with hands over head
Climb; work from a ladder
Complete TMT training
Meet H-E-B driving qualifications
Possess / maintain Tech II-level tools
Obtain diesel engine overhead certification
Obtain / maintain OEM certification in brakes, suspension, electrical, welding, TIA, and drive train
