Kforce has a client in Media, PA that is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant.
Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to manage fixed asset accounting, capital project tracking, depreciation accounting, and asset reporting activities. This role is responsible for maintaining the fixed asset subledger, supporting month-end close, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, fixed asset experience, and the ability to collaborate across Finance, Operations, and Project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including asset additions, transfers, retirements, impairments, and disposals
- Review capital expenditures and determine appropriate capitalization treatment in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Prepare and record monthly depreciation and amortization entries
- Reconcile fixed asset accounts and accumulated depreciation balances to the general ledger
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset reconciliations and analyses
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to fixed assets
- Maintain detailed fixed asset schedules and supporting documentation
- Assist with physical inventory counts and fixed asset verification projects
- Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits
- Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Facilities, and Project teams on capital expenditures and asset tracking
- Analyze capital spending trends and provide reporting and recommendations to management
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal accounting policies, where applicable
- Support process improvement initiatives and system enhancements related to fixed asset accounting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including fixed asset accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles
- Experience with depreciation, capitalization, reconciliations, and fixed asset reporting
- Experience supporting month-end close activities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- CPA certification or CPA candidate
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, or similar
- SOX compliance experience
- Experience supporting audits and financial reporting processes

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
