Fitter/Welder – Port of Catoosa
Location: Port of Catoosa, OK
Pay: $25.00–$28.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time
HireCall is currently seeking an experienced Fitter/Welder for a growing manufacturing facility located at the Port of Catoosa. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled welders looking for competitive pay and long-term career potential.
Responsibilities
- Fit and weld heavy steel components according to blueprints and specifications.
- Perform high-quality MIG and Flux Core welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Measure, align, and assemble materials for fabrication.
- Operate grinders and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain quality standards while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of fitter experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience fitting structural steel components.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening.
Weld Test
Applicants must successfully complete the following weld test:
- Open Root 3G MIG weld
- Flux Core fill and cap
- Bevel your own 5/8-inch steel plates using a 9-inch grinder
