This position is about 5-10 hours weekly with room to grow!

* 1:1s and small groups

* Ideal availability would be sometime M-F and between the hours of 9a-2p

* Continuing Education opportunities available 

Founded in 1998, FOX was the FIRST private practice in the country to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in-home setting for the older adult population. Helping patients restore the quality of life they deserve and desire, our focus is the rehabilitation of lives delivered through evidence-based therapy with innovative and proactive treatment.  

The Fitness Specialistopportunity entails the following: 

  • Patient continuity:Patients are prescribed exercise programs to maintain functional levels after discharge from rehabilitation services.  
  • Excellent support system:Fox provides significant support for our Fitness Specialists through leadership, clinical education, and an assigned Program Manager.

Requirements: 

  • Must have one of the following: ​​​​Bachelors in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or Exercise Physiology;Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally recognized and accredited organization preferred (i.e., ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA); or prior experience as a fitness trainer, with willingness to become a Certified Personal Trainer 
  • Routine travel to patient residences and between Senior Living Communities. 
  • Expand territory as needed. 
  • Travel as needed per practice requirements. 
  • CPR Certification 
  • Previous experience working with older adults in a proactive and wellness setting preferred.  
  • Basic computer skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
