JOB SUMMARY
Park Center Health and Fitness is seeking an energetic, personable Fitness Membership Engagement Coordinator to create a welcoming first impression, build relationships with prospective and current members, support membership sales, and assist with marketing and community outreach. This position will also support lead follow-up, CRM management, and consistent sales and customer service practices among the Fitness Desk team. The Membership Engagement Coordinator is responsible for performing the following essential functions, including but not limited to:
- Create a positive and professional first impression for prospective members, guests, and current members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current members through consistent engagement and follow-ups.
- Generate membership leads through in-person, telephone, email, and community event outreach.
- Follow up with leads and inquiries in a timely manner to maximize membership sales opportunities.
- Conduct membership tours and effectively communicate the benefits and services of Park Center Health and Fitness.
- Work closely with the Customer Service and Membership Supervisor to establish and reinforce consistent tour expectations.
- Achieve or exceed membership sales goals by creating referrals, turning inquiries into tours, and communicating with prospects
- Develop and maintain effective internal and external oral, written, and electronic communications including responding to phone calls, emails, comments, and suggestions in a timely manner
- Represent the District positively and ethically to patrons, guests, and staff
- Safely conducts all work, including using personal protective equipment and safety devices as required; identifies and reports any real or potential safety hazards.
- Proactively supports the Districts environmental initiatives including recycling, conserving resources, and preventing pollution. Comply with all District environmental policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, High School Diploma required.
- At least 2 years of experience in sales in fitness, hospitality, or a related field., .
- Certifications / Memberships: Professional certification(s) and/or active membership in a professional association are desirable.
- Licenses: A valid Illinois driver's license required for local health fairs throughout the year (approx. 3-4 year)
SCHEDULING & PAY
This position is part-time, year-round working approximately 21 to 25 hours per week.
Set schedule of Monday and Wednesday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, plus Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Opportunity to flex days with prior approval
Anticipated hiring range is $20.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. The full pay range is $20.00-$25.00 per hour.
There is also the opportunity to be scheduled for additional shifts outside of the specific shifts
