Description of Position

Hiring Rate: $16 Per Hour

Scheduled to work in the YC Fitness Center and assist users with proper use of equipment. Performs non-exempt work in the following areas;

• Provides coverage, opening/closing for the YC Fitness Center
• Assists patrons with instruction on use of machines/equipment as needed
• Ensures weight room is clean
• Maintains safe use of facility and its equipment
• Monitor use of equipment and patrons to avoid abuse or unsafe conditions.
• Distribute and collect towels, or other small equipment items.
• Other related duties as assigned

This is a temporary part-time position working 0-19 hours per week as scheduled.

Minimum Expectations & Requirements

• Two years experience in fitness, training, or related field
• Excellent customer service skills including personal and telephone
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines
• Ability to work independently under general supervision

Preferred Skills & Abilities

• Work experience in a community college/higher education environment
• National certification or degree in related field
