    Fitness Attendant 

    Under the general supervision of the Fitness Director, is responsible for the leading of multiple group fitness classes that range in variety and levels anywhere from Yoga to Bootcamp.  Responsible for counting, cueing, organizing the class and choreography, and maintaining a fit and enjoyable class for patrons.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: 

    • Promotes a safe and fun environment for class participant
    • Demonstrates knowledge of proper group fitness components, ie: warm up, aerobic exercise, flexibility, cool down, etc.
    • Knowledge of a variety or particular Group Fitness class or classes.
    • Knowledgeable in techniques and dynamics of Group Fitnes.
    • Provide excellent customer service to class participants and guests. 
    • Enforcement of all rules regarding RAC class policies and operating procedures.
    • Executes policies and procedures professionally and accurately.
    • Communicates all information verbally and in writing to supervisors.
    • Maintains a clean and safe environment for patrons and staff.
    • Responsible for completing all tasks assigned by the Group Fitness Director on time.
    • Attends staff meetings as assigned.
    • Performs any other related or similar duty as assigned.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.  Work responsibilities will be performed in a standard recreational facility.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

    Work is performed in several environments as follows:

    • An office setting.
    • A recreational facility setting.
    • Attending programs during the day, evenings, or weekends.
    • Some off-site promotion.

    MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED: 

    Standard office equipment that include, computers and software packages, fax and copy machines, telephones, cash registers.  Standard exercise equipment includes weights, dumbbells, body bars, steps, fitness balls, and other equipment associated with use in a recreational exercise facility.
