    Description

    35% Performs advanced financial, budgetary, and statistical analysis utilizing Maricopa Planning & Budget (MPB), Financial Management System (FMS), Student Information System (SIS), Human Capital Management (HCM), and other enterprise financial systems. Develops and analyzes complex financial reports, budget projections, and statistical data; monitors expenditures and revenues; reconciles financial information; identifies trends and discrepancies; recommends corrective actions and process improvements; and provides data-driven recommendations that support fiscal planning, operational decision-making, and institutional goals. Serves as a subject matter expert for financial systems, reporting, and fiscal processes.

    30% Provides advanced consultation, interpretation, and guidance to college and district departments regarding procurement, purchasing, budgeting, cashiering, contracts, and financial operations.     20% Prepares, analyzes, and maintains complex financial, procurement, narrative, and statistical reports, databases, and supporting documentation. Reviews and prepares journal entries and accounting adjustments to resolve discrepancies; evaluates financial transactions for accuracy and compliance; conducts financial research and analysis; develops reports and presentations for management; recommends improvements to business processes and internal controls; supports internal audits; and contributes to strategic initiatives that promote innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within Business Services.

    10% Coordinates cash management activities and cashiering operations, ensuring compliance with established fiscal policies, procedures, and internal controls. Interprets and applies applicable laws, regulations, and Administrative Regulations; performs compliance reviews; researches and resolves complex financial issues and escalated customer concerns; provides professional consultation to internal stakeholders; and monitors financial activities to ensure fiscal accountability and sound stewardship of college resources.

    5% Leads or participates in strategic initiatives, cross-functional projects, financial system enhancements, process improvement efforts, committee assignments, and other related duties as assigned. Coordinates project activities, provides guidance and training to staff, and contributes to departmental planning and continuous improvement efforts. And other duties as assigned.
