First Article Engineer 1st Shift
Pay: $25$27 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary
The First Article Engineer supports new product introductions by verifying production capabilities and ensuring that first article builds are completed accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with customer requirements. This position works closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Account Management to resolve manufacturing issues, maintain accurate documentation, and improve assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities
Review first article work orders released to production to ensure all required information is complete and customer schedule requirements can be met.
Assemble first article units and/or collaborate closely with production teams to verify manufacturing capabilities and complete first article builds.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to help ensure first article units pass inspection and testing.
Perform rework resulting from in-process inspections, final inspections, or testing.
Escalate first article issues to the Engineering Manager, Account Manager, and/or Quality Assurance Manager as appropriate.
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods for new product introductions using knowledge of assembly processes, tooling, production equipment, testing methods, and quality-control standards.
Build harness boards, test adapters, and fixtures.
Maintain master product files and engineering documentation for first article builds.
Update cut lists, wire schedules, bills of materials (BOMs), and other production documents as needed.
Maintain manufacturing instruction and BOM information within the companys Add-On system.
Assist with investigating and evaluating defects, in-process and final inspection findings, and returned-product nonconformances.
