The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Systems, Power Electronics, or a related field. A background in digital signal processing, control systems, power conversion, or model-based development is preferred.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the development and testing of embedded firmware for UPS power conversion systems.
    • Model and simulate power converters and control systems using MATLAB and Simulink.
    • Assist with the implementation of digital control algorithms on DSPs or microcontrollers.
    • Support Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing activities.
    • Develop and execute test cases to evaluate control performance, firmware behavior, and fault conditions.
    • Compare simulation results with embedded software and hardware test results.
    • Support laboratory testing, debugging, and analysis of power electronic hardware.
    • Work with power conversion stages such as PFC converters, DC/DC converters, and inverters.
    • Document simulation results, test data, and technical findings.
    • Collaborate with firmware, hardware, controls, and test engineers.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • Coursework, research, or project experience in control systems, DSP, embedded systems, or power electronics.
    • Experience with MATLAB or Simulink.
