PacAero's core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the world's most extreme environments. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world's most extreme environments. PacAero's products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.
The Position:
Job Summary
Working under general supervision, the In-Process Inspector will inspect precision parts according to specifications. This role involves inspecting components, subassemblies, and finished products according to established procedures, engineering drawings, and quality standards. This production job requires basic knowledge of computer systems.
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 5:00am to 1:30pm
Primary Responsibilities
- Work cooperatively with all employees.
- Willingness to adapt work schedule to company needs.

- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by area Lead or Supervisor
- Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to Management personnel.
- Follow daily clean up and housekeeping procedures.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work-related rules and regulations.
- The ability to complete tasks in a reasonably timely manner.
In-Process Inspector Responsibilities
- Minimum of 3 months' training in the quality control department.
- Demonstrate a basic ability to read and comprehend drawings and work instruction documentation.
- Perform the following functions:
- In-process visual inspections under a microscope to confirm compliance with quality standards.
- In-process dimensional inspections with drop indicators, calipers, and micrometers as needed.
- Ability to learn and use applicable area equipment.
- Demonstrate the ability to accurately and efficiently use applicable measuring tools such as, but not limited to Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gage and Pin gauges to inspect dimension criteria.
- Must be able to retain information.
- Must have the ability to work in harsh environments.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by area Lead or Supervisor
- Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings to correctly determine requirements.
- Coach personnel on how to find and interpret Engineering Drawings to correctly determine requirements.
- Develop strong understanding of the quality requirements of individual components and the finished products.
- Maintain workload by meeting or exceeding run times per part, while achieving departmental efficiency and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with the lead and supervisor regarding work status, issues, or needs.
- Instruct in the use of the correct tools, equipment, Shop Processes (SP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as required.
- Gather data and prepare reports for Supervisors as requested.
- Assist in the creation of job instruction documents under the direction of the Process Engineer.
- Perform the following inspection tests:
- Dielectric Withstanding Voltage (AC / DC)
- Insulation Resistance
- Mate / De-mate
- Visual Inspection
- Mechanical Inspection
- All other tests deemed necessary by requirements
- Perform product identification and traceability activities as required.
- Ability to conduct regular inspections of employees' work to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Ability to identify issues and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

- Education/Previous Experience Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Previous experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment
- Noise: The factory may be a loud environment with constant noise from equipment that may require mandatory hearing protection.
- Safety hazards: Can be exposed to inherent risks from high-temperature ovens/parts, extreme low-temperature freezers, powerful fast-moving machines, and sharp tools. Safety protocols are critical to prevent injuries.
- Contaminants: The work involves exposure to airborne particles like metal dust, solder smoke and chemical fumes, necessitating adequate ventilation and protective measures to minimize health risks when on the shop floor.
- Protective gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a requirement for safety. This includes safety glasses and hearing protection.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting: The job frequently requires lifting and moving parts.
- Manual dexterity: Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating tools, loading parts into fixtures, setting up electrical testing equipment, and performing precise measurements.
- Repetitive motion: Many tasks, such as loading and unloading workpieces into fixtures, inspecting parts, first article inspections, and the use of hand tools are repetitive and can potentially lead to musculoskeletal issues over time.
- Precision and vision: In-process inspectors must have excellent close-up vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors to accurately read blueprints, inspect finished products, and use measuring instruments.
- Stamina: Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time and perform physically demanding tasks for the duration of a shift, including loading materials into fixtures, conducting precise measurements, and conducting quality checks on finished goods.

Salary Description
$19/hr - $21/hr
