Fire System Technician

Rate Range: $25-$28/Hr



Job Description:

• We are looking for an experienced Fire System Technician to install, inspect, troubleshoot, test, and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems.
• The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with fire alarm systems and be comfortable working independently at customer locations.

• Install, service, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades.
• Diagnose system faults and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Work with fire alarm panels, devices, notification appliances, and related equipment.
• Perform system testing and ensure equipment operates according to applicable standards.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and system documentation.
• Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, and documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Identify required materials, parts, and equipment for service work.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable fire/life-safety requirements.
• Respond to service calls and complete assigned work within required timelines.

• 3+ years of experience working with fire alarm systems.
• Hands-on experience with installation, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance.
• Functional and technical knowledge of fire alarm systems and related components.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Professional customer-service attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service assignments.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• NICET certification or other relevant fire alarm certifications is a plus.
