Fire Sprinkler Operations Manager

Location: Florida

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Fire Sprinkler Operations Manager to lead service, inspection, project execution, and operational activities throughout the State of Florida. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of water-based fire protection systems, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of managing teams, customers, and projects while ensuring compliance with all applicable NFPA standards, Florida Fire Prevention Code requirements, and local AHJ regulations.

This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving financial performance, managing field personnel, ensuring quality and safety standards, and supporting business growth across service, inspections, deficiency repairs, and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all fire sprinkler service, inspection, repair, and project operations throughout Florida.
  • Oversee field technicians, inspectors, project managers, and support personnel to ensure operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, Florida Fire Prevention Code requirements, OSHA regulations, and local jurisdictional requirements.
  • Manage scheduling, manpower planning, resource allocation, and project execution.
  • Review and approve estimates, proposals, deficiency reports, and repair recommendations.
  • Support sales and business development efforts through customer engagement and technical expertise.
  • Oversee inspection and testing programs for water-based fire protection systems.
  • Monitor project budgets, labor utilization, profitability, and operational KPIs.
  • Develop and mentor field personnel while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, building owners, engineers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • Conduct operational reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all documentation, reporting, and compliance records are maintained accurately and timely.
  • Support design and project teams with technical guidance related to fire sprinkler systems and layout requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the fire sprinkler industry.
  • NICET Level III Certification in Water-Based Systems.
  • Strong background in water-based fire sprinkler layout and design.
  • Extensive experience with:
    • Wet pipe systems
    • Dry pipe systems
    • Pre-action systems
    • Deluge systems
    • Fire pumps
    • Backflow systems
  • Demonstrated experience leading service, inspection, and project operations.
  • Thorough understanding of:
    • NFPA 13
    • NFPA 14
    • NFPA 20
    • NFPA 25
    • Florida Fire Prevention Code
  • Strong knowledge of plan review, deficiency identification, and code compliance.
  • Experience managing multiple crews, projects, and customers across a large geographic region.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills.
  • Proficiency with industry software, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record.
