As a Systems Specialist, you'll lead the physical installation of communications systems on project sites, including running the day-to-day work, guiding a crew, and making sure every job meets CEC's standards for safety and quality.It's hands-on work for people who'd rather be on-site than behind a desk. What You'll DoNo two projects look quite the same. Here's where you'll typically spend your time. Lead the daily install plan on-site, keeping the work safe, on schedule, and up to CEC's quality standardsReview project details, plans, and milestones with the team and the customer before work beginsRun site walk-throughs to confirm locations and identify safety hazardsInspect installations, correct issues, and mentor team members so problems don't recurHandle basic programming and configuration, and connect systems to the network as assignedBuild punch lists, test systems, coordinate customer training, and finalize documentationClose out projects with customer walk-throughs and sign-offSupport service tickets and CEC's 24/7 on-call rotation as assignedRequired5+ years of technology experience at CEC or a similar company1+ years of leadership experienceStrong communication skills and a solid grasp of general construction or mechanical workKnowledge of communications systems-audio, video, security, fire alarm, wireless, and data networks Comfortable with a Windows PC environment (Excel a plus) PreferredSafety-related certificationsIndustry certifications such as NICET, BICSI, or CTSIf you don't have every certification yet, many industry certifications and trainings can be earned during your first year on the job.
