Fire Alarm Service Technician
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Technician to perform service calls, including the installation of DynaNet, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems. The technician is responsible for delivering efficient, high-quality installations and service to minimize downtime and ensure maximum system performance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and skilled at problem-solving while maintaining strong customer communication.
Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to customer service requests and resolve system issues.
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and program fire alarm systems in compliance with industry codes and standards.
  • Accurately document all service, repairs, and installations.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and clients to ensure timely project completion.
  • Program and service commonly used fire alarm panels.
  • Train customers on the proper use and maintenance of installed systems.
  • Follow company safety procedures, policies, and quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain testing equipment such as volt meters, ohm meters, oscilloscopes, multimeters, tone generators, and battery testers.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in electronics or equivalent education/experience in a related field.
  • NICET Level II certification.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, computers, and communication systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to document work electronically.
  • Ability to connect via ISP for VPN communications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
