About the Role:A to Z Fire in Tampa, FL is looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our dedicated team of life safety professionals. This is your opportunity to make a real impact by installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire alarm systems that protect lives and property every day.
Responsibilities:- Install, program, and commission fire alarm systems in commercial and residential settings
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on fire alarm equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NFPA codes and local fire safety regulations
- Complete accurate service reports and maintain detailed documentation of all work performed
- Communicate professionally with customers, explaining system status and recommended services
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a similar life safety role
- Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable fire alarm codes and standards
- State of Florida Fire Alarm Contractor or Technician license preferred
- NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical wiring diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
