In this role you will install program test inspect and service fire alarm systems for a wide range of commercial industrial and institutional clients ensuring each system operates reliably and in compliance with applicable codes. Success in this role requires strong technical aptitude attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall program test and inspect fire alarm systems and related life safety equipment.Troubleshoot diagnose and repair fire alarm system deficiencies.Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance in accordance with NFPA codes and standards.Read and interpret blueprints wiring diagrams and technical specifications.Complete and submit accurate service reports inspection documentation and required paperwork in a timely manner.Communicate professionally with customers coworkers and the authority having jurisdiction AHJ.Maintain tools equipment and company vehicle in good working condition.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 2 years of experience installing inspecting or servicing fire alarm systems.NICET Fire Alarm certification NICET Level II preferred.Valid Wisconsin drivers license with an acceptable driving record.Ability to read and interpret blueprints wiring diagrams and technical documents.Strong troubleshooting communication and customer service skills.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Frequently required to climb ladders stairs and scaffolding and to work at heights.Regularly required to stand walk kneel crouch crawl and reach in confined or elevated spaces.Work may be performed in varying environmental conditions both indoors and outdoors.Ability to travel to job sites as required.The wage for this role is 30 to 40 per hour based on experience and qualifications.As part of the DU Family of Companies we believe that empowering and investing in our employees as leaders develops an organization that delivers innovative solutions and services that create a superior customer experience.
