    Description

    We are seeking experienced Fire & Security Systems Technicians in Michigan who are willing to travel for field service and installation projects. This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity for technicians with hands-on experience in fire alarm, burglar alarm, CCTV/video surveillance, and related low-voltage systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm and security systems.
    • Work with fire alarm, burglar alarm, CCTV/video surveillance, access control, and low-voltage systems.
    • Perform system testing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
    • Read and interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans.
    • Diagnose system issues and complete repairs efficiently.
    • Perform equipment installations, wiring, terminations, and device replacements.
    • Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
    • Travel to customer sites throughout Michigan and surrounding areas as required.
    • Follow all safety procedures, project specifications, and applicable codes.

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of hands-on experience with fire/security or low-voltage systems.
    • Experience with one or more of the following:
      • Fire Alarm Systems
      • Burglar/Intrusion Alarm Systems
      • CCTV/Video Surveillance
      • Access Control
      • Low-Voltage Systems
    • Strong troubleshooting and technical skills.
    • Ability to work independently in the field.
    • Willingness and ability to travel.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

    Preferred

    • Fire alarm certifications such as NICET.
    • Manufacturer-specific certifications.
    • Experience with commercial or industrial security systems.
    • Knowledge of applicable fire and low-voltage codes.
