We are seeking experienced Fire & Security Systems Technicians in Michigan who are willing to travel for field service and installation projects. This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity for technicians with hands-on experience in fire alarm, burglar alarm, CCTV/video surveillance, and related low-voltage systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm and security systems.
- Work with fire alarm, burglar alarm, CCTV/video surveillance, access control, and low-voltage systems.
- Perform system testing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans.
- Diagnose system issues and complete repairs efficiently.
- Perform equipment installations, wiring, terminations, and device replacements.
- Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
- Travel to customer sites throughout Michigan and surrounding areas as required.
- Follow all safety procedures, project specifications, and applicable codes.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with fire/security or low-voltage systems.
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Burglar/Intrusion Alarm Systems
- CCTV/Video Surveillance
- Access Control
- Low-Voltage Systems
- Strong troubleshooting and technical skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Preferred
- Fire alarm certifications such as NICET.
- Manufacturer-specific certifications.
- Experience with commercial or industrial security systems.
- Knowledge of applicable fire and low-voltage codes.
