Fire Alarm Service ManagerMongiovi & Son Fire Protection Services  – Pittsburgh, PA Full-Time | Monday–Friday | In PersonAbout UsMongiovi & Son is a family-owned business that has been a trusted industry leader in Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Excavating services for over 40 years.With a team of more than 130 skilled tradespeople serving Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and Northern West Virginia, we have the experience and resources to handle projects and service needs of all sizes across a variety of market sectors.Position SummaryMongiovi & Son is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Manager to oversee and grow our fire alarm service operations.This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of our fire alarm service team, including scheduling and supervising technicians, managing service calls and inspections, estimating work, maintaining strong customer relationships, overseeing monitoring accounts, and driving the overall performance and profitability of the division.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in fire alarm systems combined with previous experience managing technicians and service operations for a fire alarm, life safety, low-voltage, or security systems company.ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations of the fire alarm service divisionDirectly supervise, schedule, and provide daily direction to fire alarm service and inspection techniciansCoordinate service calls, inspections, repairs, installations, and small projects to ensure work is completed efficiently and on scheduleProvide technical support and direction to field technicians as neededAssist with troubleshooting and field operations when necessaryEstimate and prepare proposals for service work, repairs, system upgrades, and installation projectsReview project drawings, plans, specifications, contracts, and proposals for accuracy and scopeCoordinate with customers, technicians, sales, management, vendors, subcontractors, and other tradesMaintain strong customer relationships and respond to customer questions or concerns in a timely and professional mannerOversee material procurement and coordinate equipment and material needs for technicians and projectsOversee customer contracts, invoicing, reporting, and administration related to fire alarm monitoring servicesReview service billing and work with internal staff to ensure completed work is invoiced accurately and promptlyAssist with collections and resolution of outstanding customer accounts when necessaryMonitor department performance, productivity, backlog, and profitabilityReview division profit and loss performance in coordination with company managementAssist with budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and pricing recommendationsDevelop and maintain operational procedures to improve efficiency, accountability, and customer serviceEnsure technicians follow company policies, safety requirements, and applicable fire alarm codes and standardsEvaluate current operations and recommend improvements to support continued growth of the divisionPerform additional duties as needed to support the fire protection divisionQualifications3+ years of experience managing a service department or field service team preferredPrevious experience with fire alarm, life safety, low-voltage, or security systems strongly preferredStrong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems requiredExperience estimating and pricing fire alarm service, repair, or installation work preferredExperience supervising and scheduling field techniciansStrong understanding of customer service and service department operationsExcellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environmentNICET certification is a plus, but not requiredOhio and/or West Virginia fire alarm licensing is a plusValid driver's license requiredFamiliarity with Western Pennsylvania and the surrounding service area preferredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experienceBonus opportunity based on division profitabilityHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurance401(k)Paid time offCompany provided vehicleAdditional company benefitsWork Location: In person – Pittsburgh, PA 15205Mongiovi & Son Enterprises, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
