Description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Lead Technician to perform installation, service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of commercial low-voltage and fire life safety systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of hands-on fire alarm industry experience and knowledge of electronic security systems.

This position requires a motivated, organized, customer-focused technician who can work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. Experience with fire alarm, CCTV, access control, burglar alarm, and intercom systems is highly valued.

Job Responsibilities

Install, service, troubleshoot, test, and maintain fire alarm and low-voltage systems.
Work on commercial, retail, educational, healthcare, and industrial projects.
Install and service fire alarm, CCTV, access control, burglar alarm, and intercom systems.
Install conduit and efficiently route and terminate low-voltage cable and wiring.
Diagnose system issues and identify effective solutions.
Read and understand technical information, system documentation, and installation requirements.
Use hand tools and electric/battery-powered equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain knowledge of products, systems, equipment, and services.
Communicate technical information clearly to customers and non-technical personnel.
Provide professional customer service and represent the organization positively.
Work independently on assigned projects and effectively collaborate with other technicians.
Follow applicable safety procedures and industry standards.
Work safely from ladders and lifts and in varying environmental conditions.
Maintain accurate documentation and complete required service or installation records.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Fire Alarm industry experience required.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience or working knowledge of electronic security and low-voltage systems.
Knowledge of fire alarm systems and related technologies.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work from ladders and lifts.
Ability to lift 10–50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Ability to work in small, confined, or physically demanding spaces.
Ability to pass a drug test.
OSHA 10 training is preferred.
