Fire Alarm Licensed Technician - Job Description:
Lead and work alongside Junior Technicians and Helpers performing commercial fire alarm installations.
Install fire alarm cabling, pathways, supports, mounting hardware, and associated system components.
Install and terminate devices including strobes, pull stations, smoke detectors, heat detectors, and fire alarm control equipment.
Perform panel terminations and complete field connections accurately and efficiently.
Use meters and testing equipment to troubleshoot circuits, diagnose problems, and verify proper system operation.
Interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and system documentation to execute installations correctly.
Coordinate field activities with Project Managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
Inspect work for workmanship, safety, code compliance, and adherence to project requirements.
Maintain accurate field documentation, including progress updates, inspection information, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
Ensure installations meet applicable local requirements and national fire and life-safety standards.
Communicate professionally with customers and project stakeholders while addressing field issues and changing project needs.
Help drive projects toward successful completion by maintaining productivity, quality, schedule, and cost expectations.
Basic Requirement:
Valid Driver s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to utilize hand and power tools in a safety-oriented environment.
