TradeSTAR is seeking a Fire Alarm Level I Technician for an opportunity with an established fire and life-safety contractor in the San Antonio area.
If you already have some hands-on fire alarm or low-voltage experience and want to strengthen your installation skills, this is an opportunity to work alongside experienced technicians while building valuable commercial fire alarm experience.
What You ll Do
Pull, route, label, and properly support fire alarm cable
Assist with commercial fire alarm system installations
Install common initiating and notification devices
Assist with mounting and connecting fire alarm equipment
Install J-hooks and other approved cable support systems
Assist with device trim-out and system completion
Follow prints, device layouts, and direction from experienced technicians
Identify common fire alarm devices and system components
Assist senior technicians with testing and troubleshooting
Maintain clean, organized, and professional installations
Follow established jobsite safety and installation procedures
What We re Looking For
Previous fire alarm, low-voltage, electrical, or related commercial installation experience
Basic understanding of fire alarm cabling and devices
Experience using common hand and power tools
Ability to pull, route, support, and label cable
Ability to follow prints and installation instructions
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Willingness to learn from experienced fire alarm technicians
Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a crew
Professional attitude and strong commitment to quality
Reliable transportation
