Role Overview

As a Fire Alarm Inspector II, you will perform routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler, and Suppression life safety product lines. In this field-based role, you will help ensure customer systems are dependable, well documented, and ready to perform.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and test fire alarm systems for both existing and new customer sites.
• Perform routine service and preventative maintenance on life safety product lines.
• Complete accurate documentation for all work performed using the tools provided.
• Follow verbal and written instructions while meeting assigned schedules and customer needs.
• Work safely and professionally in a clean, organized, and compliant manner.
• Carry and move equipment and tools, including loads of up to 70 lbs, as needed for the job.
• Work at heights or in unusual positions, including ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment.
• Support alternative shifts or weekend work when required to meet customer demands.

• Stay close to the work, listen carefully to customer needs, and remove obstacles that could delay service.
• Document inspections and service activities accurately using the tools provided.
• Follow structured instructions, keep work organized, and complete assignments on time.

• Win as one team by collaborating well with customers and teammates and bringing a positive, professional attitude.

Qualifications

• 1-3 year of installation or service experience in testing and inspecting fire alarm equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.
• Capable of performing physical labor.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work alternative shifts or weekends when needed.
• Ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and smartphone use.
• Ability to obtain NICET I within 1 year of employment.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $23.08-$34.62 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
