Position Summary:

The Finishing Technician play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by working in specialized areas that produce components for medical devices. The Finishing Technician - Deburring removes burrs, sharp edges and machining marks from precision components used in medical devices, so every part leaves the department safe, clean and within blueprint specification. Deburring is the core of this role, performed by hand and with tumbling, blasting and other finishing equipment.

The technician also supports related finishing areas, including Shot Blast, Ultrasonic Cleaning, Laser Marking and the Clean Room. They work closely with the Shift Production Lead, team members and other departments to meet quality and delivery goals.

Essential Job Functions:

• Remove burrs, sharp edges and surface defects from machined components using hand tools, files, abrasives, and rotary tools, working under magnification as needed.
• Operate and learn tumbling, vibratory finishing, shot blast and ultrasonic cleaning equipment to deburr, smooth and clean parts.
• Deburr and clean parts according to established manufacturing processes.
• Inspect deburred parts visually and with measuring instruments to confirm they meet blueprint specifications.
• Complete required production records and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Report quality concerns, equipment issues, and production delays to Finishing Lead.
• Assist other Finishing areas as needed to support production flow.

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated and committed to producing high quality work.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable learning new equipment, tools and processes.
• Positive attitude and excellent team collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in an FDA regulated manufacturing environment is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Hand dexterity for working with small parts.

Shift Schedule:

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00AM to 3:00 PM
