Overview:
Finishing Mill Shift Mechanical Technician
Responsibilities:- Rotating shift work including nights and weekends.
- Welding, cutting and fabrication
- Maintain all mechanical systems related to the rolling process
- Troubleshoot and repair of high-pressure hydraulic systems
- Rigging, crane and mobile equipment operation
- Read and interpret blueprints and piping diagrams
- Work with operations and maintenance groups to ensure continued production
- Work wtih computer-based maintenance systems
Qualifications:
- Safety oriented
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Prior mechanical maintenance experience in some or all of the following areas: welding & fabrication, industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, manual & automatic lubrication systems, water systems, pipe fittings, rigging, bearing & coupling replacement, ability to read prints & schematics
- Strong willingness to learn
- Understanding of mathematics (geometry, trigonometry)
- Willingness to work scheduled and non-scheduled overtime
- Strong teamwork focus
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to multi-task & prioritize work assisgnments with production needs
- At least 2 years of Mechanical Maintenance experience
